What to Expect at Your
First Visit
In order
to prevent dental disease, we need a complete
picture of your present oral health, as well
as your dental and medical history. Your initial
examination will include an evaluation of past,
existing, and potential problems. You will have
to fill a form for new patient, with questions
about your health history, and you will be acquainted
with finacial policy and the dental warranty
of the practice as well. |
|
We start with comprehensive evaluations
comprising gentle and careful review of the condition
of the teeth, gums, muscle system, bite, temporo-mandibular
joint, previous dental work, and esthetics.
X-rays and an examination of your oral
tissues are used to identify decay, gum/bone disease,
and any hidden problems. This is to reveal not only
current needs, but also trends which may lead to future
problems.
When your examination is complete, we
will discuss our findings with you and make recommendations
for treatment and prophylaxis, concerning your needs
and desires. We want you to know what should be done
and the cost involved. Also, we want together with you
to define the succession of the procedures .
