Preventive Dentistry
Early
detection is the key to avoide costly and commplicated
dental treatment. Prevention begins with the control
of plaque and calculus, the main cause of decay and
periodontal disease. In fact, the major cause of tooth
loss in adults is periodontal disease, which is known
as the silent killer of teeth because most patients
feel no symptoms until it's too late. With regular
dental visits, we can treat teeth and gum disease
at an early stage, before it gets out of hand. |

" An ounce of prevention is worth a pound
of cure."
Dental sealants
Sealant is a plastic material that is usually applied
on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth like the premolars
and molars to reduce tooth decay. It acts as a protective
coating preventing the penetration of decay causing bacteria.
It is prudent to have sealants, a preventive and painless
procedure, instead of allowing the tooth to be damaged
by decay and going through the restorative procedure.
