It is much more than boiling or only heat sterilization. This procedure of sterilization is used in hospitals for carrying out major surgeries)

All the instruments have been autoclaved after packing in autoclavable packages, which are open in front of the patient. Instruments in these packages can remain in sterilized condition for months.
